• Anna Bananas -- Offers authentic
Jamaican breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and two billiard tables
for the bar goers.
• Bakeries such as CC’s Bakery
and Coronation Bakery serve up local breads and pastries such
as hard-dough bread, holey bulla (sweet bread with a hole
in the centre), patties, and spiced bun and cheese. All of
these are portable and easy to eat while on the go.
• Sista P’s Lioness, 10 Mathews
avenue, off Mannings Avenue -- one of Port Antonio’s
hidden jewels, organic vegetarian treats are wrapped up in
banana leaves as an environmentally friendly alternative to
Styrofoam or plastic containers. Meals should be pre-ordered
the day before. Guests will be introduced to a vegetarian
Jamaican meal lovingly prepared by Sista P herself. J$ 300.00

Dicky’s Best Kept Secret at Bryan’s Bay and Woody’s
Low Bridge in Drapers Tel: 876-993-7888. Easy to overlook
when searching for somewhere to eat, these two cafés
offer three- to five-course meals at great prices, and the
ambiance, service, and care with which your food is prepared
will have you coming back again and again. There is also Miss
Betty’s on the banks of the Rio Grande, a favourite
lunch stop on your way rafting down the river.
Sophisticated Fare
• Mille Fleurs -- Nouvelle Caribbean
cuisine, romantic, candlelight dinners, terrace dining, and
breathtaking views all add to the ambiance here. Located in
Hotel Mocking Bird Hill, the restaurant caters to meat lovers
and vegetarians alike and serves food using fresh, local produce
